Research Shines Light On Women’s Experiences Of Homelessness This World Homelessness Day
Today, on World Homeless Day, we reflect on the challenges faced by homeless women in our community and the importance of organisations that are taking action.
For the women we serve, it's about breaking the cycle—Trauma, addiction, mental health struggles, and isolation are some of the complex barriers faced daily, making it essential for us to provide not just housing but comprehensive, compassionate support. Every woman deserves a safe place to rebuild her life and we are here to offer that support.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Coalition to End Women’s Homelessness for including the Wellington Homeless Women's Trust in their upcoming research report (Full report out soon).

Their work helps amplify the voices of women experiencing homelessness, shedding light on the unique challenges they face and highlighting the actions happening on the frontline that are generating success.
Together, along with many others, we are working towards a future where every woman has access to the safe, stable housing and support services she needs to thrive.
Let’s commit to making homelessness a thing of the past.
