With over 10 years of experience as a senior People & Capability leader, Ang has had the privilege of seeing people at the best of times and at the most challenging of times – Her responsibility is to help navigate outcomes in a way that keeps people safe. For six of those years Ang has worked in the tertiary sector, and knows that the one of the ingredients to long term happiness is education (and that is any type of education). Education can support individuals and communities out of poverty, to think differently and understand difference.

Why I Volunteer

“As a proud wahine from Te Whanganui-a Tara, I want to do what I can to help, so other women can be proud of their city too. I also know that many hands make lite work. Nā tō rourou, nā taku rourou
ka ora ai te iwi. Women face many visible and invisible barriers, so it is important that when women are at their most vulnerable, they have a place to rest and reset. Being part of a team who can be kaitiakitanga of the bureaucracy and funding, means the kaimahi of Te Whare Nukunoa can focus on manaakitanga.”
